Hanger separators or spacers?

I need some kind of device or doodad that will keep a certain amount of space between all the hangers in my closet so they don't get all scrunched up and my shirt collars don't get wrinkled.

I found these but they seem a tad expensive and I can't be sure if they will fit over the plastic hangers that I have.

any ideas?

Maybe put some fat shower curtain ring on the rod and place your hangers so there are 2-3 rings between hangers when necessary? I'm talking about the chunky, plastic ones that are really cheap and at almost every discount store (Save On, DII) and probably even some grocery stores.

That's my easy way. You could also hot-glue (or maybe they have a sticky side) furniture sliders to existing hangers if you have solid ones. I'm guessing shower rings is one of the cheapest solutions (and also easy to get rid of if you don't like).

Go to Lowe's or Home depot and get some foam water pipe insulation, cut it into the lengths you need to space your clothing. The insulation should just slip right over your closet rod.

Hi, I am the inventor of the Spacers for hangers and have recently had an offer to be licensed by a large company to own rights of my Smart Spacers. So, I have a week or so to sell what I have on hand for LESS THAN HALF PRICE.@ $0.90/Spacer regardless of how many (25 Spacers @ $22.50 etc) These work fine with the plastic hangers that have a flat base for them to lie flush on. I could send pictures if you like. If you or anyone wants to take advantage of this asap, you can let me know persnally b/c there is no longer the option to purchase online. Checks, money order or Western Union payments only. EMAIL should be on my site or 281 413 7189 Lisa

Looks like a regular wooden door or drawer pull. Maybe $0.50 at Lowes or Home Depot

    Subject: spacer knobs

That is the exact price also at Hobby Lobby or Michaels crafts stores for just a unpainted or lacquered knob that doesn't have a stainless steel bracket to slip over the hook of a hanger with an adhesive backing to secure it's place on a one side of the hanger. They all have huge holes for large screws to go into back of drawer. Mine have a tiny hole for tiny nail to be flush holding the bracket. Shape and length is Engineered to hold hanger perfectly still and evenly spaced with clothes on them.

I got some of these cedar rings at Bed Bath (for the supposed anti pest qualities) that slip over hangers that might have the same effect with the nice smell.
