Uh oh! I don't need anymore of those sweet potato pancakes in my life!

Yeah, I saw it listed in the Washington Ave business newsletter a few weeks ago, so when I went in on Monday asked the lady and she confirmed it's this Sunday.

Also, the newsletter said Gus is retiring and his nephew is taking over day-to-day operations. Although the man will make appearances.

I never go on the weekend, so I hope the Sunday opening will mean it's less busy on weekdays (wishful thinking)!

They have the best coffee! Toms on the boardwalk - Pancakes and crabcakes are delicious!! On boardwalk off Stillwell Ave. Open 7 days a week.I've been to breakfast a few times. Going for lunch soon

wait... tom's on washington has good coffee? when did this happen? i confess i haven't been in a while, partly because gus retired, partly because it became too much of a scene and partly because the coffee was close to undrinkable.

Did Gus really retire? Ah, at least we got to get hand sanitizer from him while we were just looking for an apt. in the hood.

As far as the good coffee they're talking about Coney Island I guess, that makes no sense to me in any respect I can conjure.
