What should the DailyHeights url icon be?

Why doesn't dailyheights have a little icon by its url? Let's make one!

Y'know, we actually discussed this a while ago, and bewitched made some cool looking ones, but nothing ever happened with them!

oops. sorry for not searching. now I know that think is called a favicon. like comicon or gaylaxicon.

I think it's forgiveable in this case because most people don't know what they're called! But we'd have to get Andy to upload it somehow.

I missed that thread, sorry. Where does one upload a favicon to?

Upload it to the root directory.

i.e. http://www.dailyheights.com/public_html/favicon.ico

There must be more to it than that. I uploaded it to public_html and it's not showing up. I think the W3C tutorial says you have to modify each HTML page to reference it, unless I'm reading it wrong.

What image did you upload for the icon? I'm now getting a yellow circle with a question mark in the center and black rectangles at 9 and 12 o'clock. Before, I used to see the generic bookmark icon.

Did you make that thing the favicon? Because I can't see it in Firefox or Explorer.

I can see it on the OS-X version of Firefox.

I can't see it on Safari either...

the internet makes me mad. sometimes I threaten to hit it. and it DOESN'T CARE!
