it's hood hing, and yes, that's probably the best in the heights, which isn't saying much.

revised: sorry, i meant hing lung on vandy. greasy, not great, but not bad either.

for delivery we usually go with hunan delight, in the slope but delivers here (718-789-1400). it's a couple cuts above hing lung and has a more extensive menu, including a good vegetarian selection.

i am never disappointed with hing lung on vandy, bt park and prospect, but i only order seafood and veggie things. and steamed chicken w white rice for the canine when she's 'having a moment." with that limitation on my endorsement, the food is always fresh, clean (not greasy), and well-flavored. fast delivery, too.

on the topic of chinese takeout places, the chinese place on franklin ave. between lincoln and st. johns has the best sesame bean curd ever. my friends used to take the train to come visit my apartment to eat that chinese food. so yummy.

I second Hing Lung. Great dumplings, fresh tasting meat and super quick delivery. Better than Hood Hing and #1. Comparable to Mr. Wonton in Park Slope.

NONE can compare with the general tso's chicken from Dragon House on Washington @ Eastern Parkway. DElicious!

Mr. Wonton has the best boneless ribs and the only place I found with a good vegetable dish--they serve choy sum (which is like bok choy) and will make it plain, steamed, no sauce, if you want.
