P.S. bank recommendations?

I've been using Commerce/T.D. for my checking account for the last few years. Lately, I find their customer service to be shoddy and disrespectful (which is fine elsewhere, but not what I expect from the people who have my money). Any recommendations for banks in the P.S. area? Preferably a bank with some nice perks and where the employees know how to behave in a professional manner.

Thank you in advance.

P.S. Sorry for making a new topic as my first comment. I've been reading this forum a long time, but never felt the need to register. Also, sorry if this topic has been covered, but I'm having trouble finding anything useful through the search function.

I bank at Citi, but they only have one real local branch on 7th Ave./Carroll (?) street. I very rarely need real service - just ATMs for deposits. Chase has a bank on 7th and another on 5th.

Question, though: do you find shoddy and disrespectful service fine elsewhere? really? because I'm tired of crap service....everywhere

Yeah, I guess "fine" is the wrong word. I hate bad customer service, too, and unfortunately it seems like more the norm than the exception in this city.

I guess I just find poor service a little easier to shrug off when it happens at, say, the grocery store or the post office. Those are less important to me than the bank.

I use chase (on ep and bdfrd), and my banker-Bibi Ali is AMAZING! They are also usually careful not to let the lines get crazy...
    Highly recommended...

I have been a customer at Astoria Federal Savings on 7th and President for 15 years, and I am very happy there. I think their customer service is their strength, actually. Quite old-fashioned. The teller lines can get long but overall I have no major complaints.

You should tell someone if you think you are getting bad customer service. IF it is more than one person it is bad management so you should tell a regional or district manager. There is a TD bank by me in Windsor Terrace and I don't bank there but a I go in every other week to buy quarters for the laundry and everyone has always been nice
