police barricades on Classon Ave

Anyone have any ideas as to what the barricades on Classon Ave are for? Colombus Day parade of sorts?

Marathon?

I think it may be for the Panamanian parade?

Last year they had it around this time....I think. :scratch:

I remember being awoken by the marching band.

Cute lil parade , tho.

I actually feel bad for them- their parade "route" if you can even call it that, is short and ridiculous. There are SO many people that are crammed into the street (especially where it culminates over on Classon) the parade was so large last year, the spectators (myself and a few hundred) got shoved so far up the sidewalk, we were literally hanging over the grills under the food stalls.

Beautiful costumes, beautiful music though- it's a shame.

Freakin' LOUD!
