ok, all of the pets I have ever had have either:

Small scars (and/or missing fur) where the belly button was. They do not have inies or outies.

Question: Does anyone have a pet with an inie or outie?

Theory: Humans would have neither inies or outies if we allowed the ambical (sp?) cords to simply fall off, like we do for pets.

My pit bull (who passed away 2 years ago)
had a noticeable belly button. I thought it was the cutest thing.

...and maybe if we didn't make babies wear hats, we'd have tall, pointy ears?

animals don't "allow the umbilical cord to fall off" anymore than humans do. the mother chews it to detach the placenta, and the stub falls off, just as we cut the cord and then let the stub fall off.
