Brooklyn Soul Band Presents a Night of Murder Ballads!

Brooklyn-based soul band Ghost Star will usher in the Halloween season with a selection of haunting murder ballads on Friday, October 23 at 8pm at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center. The band will perform such notables as the Jimi Hendrix classic “Hey Joe,” Bob Dylan's "Hurricane," and Billy Holiday’s “Strange Fruit”− a ballad condemning lynching in the American south. Ghost Star will also present a selection of original murder ballads infused with their signature blend of classic blues, jazz and funk including a cameo presentation with a surprise guest act.
