The forecast for Sunday is good weather! Help beautify our neighborhood on Daffodil Day, this Sunday, October 25th, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Grab a shovel as we work together to plant daffodil bulbs in the tree pits on Church and McDonald avenues and other side streets. Then we'll relax together at Connie's Cafe (at the corner of Church Avenue and East 5th Street) with free coffee and a free muffin, courtesy of Connie.

Wear clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting some dirt on. If you can, bring a hand cultivator, a trowel, a bulb borer, and anything else that's useful for digging and planting. Bring extra gardening tools, if you have them, for your neighbors to use.

We'll meet at 9 a.m. in front of Astoria Federal Savings, at the corner of McDonald and Church avenues.

This neighborhood event is sponsored by KARMABrooklyn (Kensington Area Resident/Merchant Alliance) and WKAG (West Kensington Action Group).
