Due to the fact that ive been remodeling my kitchen for the past month I have been hitting the take out scene pretty hard. Here is a list of my favorite local spots and what I order from them. Any new suggestions would be welcome.

Amorina
2 slice special with prosciutto.
for $6 cant be beat.

Geido
sushi platter. best sushi around

El jaguar de castillo ( cant spell the name of this place )
love their steak and rotisserie chicken sandwiches

Brooklyn crepe on flatbush and prospect
just discovered this place recently.
my favorite is the crown heights
flank steak cheese and spinach.

chavellas
Their mole chicken enchiladas are awesome.

once in a blue I will get takeout from the chinese place next to joyce.
Then will regret it about an hour later.

I'd add Antonios Pizza to that list.. and Zaytoons.

I've been pretty happy lately with the $7 burritos at Taqueria de los Muertos. They've got a choice of vegetable fillings like squash which are pretty interesting and different than, e.g. Chipotle, if you go for that sort of thing. I would like to see them, especially as a new place this year, stay in business.

I don't know if anyone here uses foursquare but it cracked me up to see Carneviento when I went to checkin there. Freaking awesome!

If it's taking a contractor a month to remod your kitchen he probably is getting a big kickback from area eating establishments.

IF you like Indian food and you want to venture a bit further (Crown Heights), you will love Bombay Masala on Franklin Av. Delicious inexpensive food, super-friendly staff and delivery! Yummmm.

If you're looking for something a bit more upscale, Abigail's on Classon Av. is quite good, too. And they have open mic nights and other events.

Also, Cafe Shane on Washington Av. has great food (particularly for brunch) and they deliver, too!

Chavellas is awesome and Taqueria de los Muertos is good and cheap, please don't let them close

I remodeled my kitchen last March. I know your pain. Add to the suggestions: Ginger Root on Washington, Joy on Flatbush and the hope that friends take pity on you and extend dinner invites.
