Broker or Apt Referrals

Hi there - I am looking for a broker that can work with me. My credit report has been tarnished due to a medical bills gone crazy. I am slowly but surely working on it - but it's a blemish non-the-less.

I make about 38k. I have excellent references - including rental if needed.

I'm looking for a clean/well kept studio or 1 bedroom ($900-1100). That is close to a train station (top concern, tbh) and is in a decent part of Brooklyn.

If anyone knows someone that knows someone - that would be great! Brokers or apartment owners.

well... i have two private owners that are understanding of credit troubles. One is on Dean Street and Vanderbilt in a nice block on Prospect Heights. They would do it for $1100 and I have a studio in Prospect Park, at 239 Ocean Avenue that is $1050. Both are clean, renovated and the landlord and I have a great relationship.

Credit is very important in Brooklyn but so are friends
