I noticed this place the other day and stopped in to grab a menu. It smelled delicious. According to the first Yelp reviewer, it IS delicious!

    I must disagree with Vanilla.
The pizzas in France are ok. The worst pizzas in France can be found in restaurant chains like ... Pizza Hut.

    Subject: nice pizza

We ate there for lunch, ower let us byob even though it's not legal there (don't know why). Very good service and very good pizza. This crispy crust is actually a traditional Brooklyn style. Anyone who remembers Sam's pizza on Court St. would feel right at home with the pies made at Nice (pronounced "Neese" as in the city Nice). The 16" was plenty for my wife and I, maybe even a little too much though we polished it off anyway. Highly recommend it.

I ate there this past weekend. The pizza was good, but man, was the service SLOWWWW. There were only 2 other ppl in the restaurant at the time (Saturday lunchtime), and both owners plus a cook were there working. Took about 15 minutes to get a glass of water after asking and another 20 min or so after that to get our pizza, which was the only item we ordered. The vegetarian pizza was yummy though, despite the wait. Oh, and they are pretty stingy with the toppings, too. There were like 3 tiny pieces each of artichoke, eggplant and roasted peppers on our 12 inch pizza.

I'm pretty sure we where the other two people there. We were served quite promptly, but I think that's because we got there BEFORE the big soccer game started. You got there after. I'm not a sports person but the owner mentioned the importance of the game.

Ha I happen to be the first yelp review for them :) I have noticed the pizza keeps getting better everytime I go back. I wish they would get a bigger selection of pizza by the slice though.

Kevin.. Ha, yes that must've been you. You're right, there was a game on, so I'll let them slide this time. ;-) The pizza was good though, so I'll definitely give them another try.

The food was good and all, but the service was completely wack; slow slow SLOW and disorganized. there was no apparent reason for this either, since there was only one other table in the restaurant.

Someone recently made the point to me, and I agree, service in restaurants seems to get worse the emptier it is.

Like the wait staff just stop paying attention if its not super busy

I ate there too. It taste good and made me imagine to have some real estate France or just sitting in home where I can see Eiffel everyday.

I love Alsatian tarte flambe, although it's not exactly pizza per se. I didn't think Provence had any particularly distinctive pizza style though. Or is this just American-style pizza made by a French guy?
