Does anyone know where i can pick up a cake and get someone to write on it? I know C-Town has a freezer with Carvel cakes, but I dont think they can write on it for you. I guess the Haagen Dazs? Thanks for the help!

Its not hard to write on a cake, you can buy a tube of frosting and frosting tips at the locaql supermarket. I have been able to write at least 3 words using this method, came out pretty good

Party City and Key Food on 5th and Sterling has premade candy letters you can use as well as the frosting tube LTS was talking about.

i find it is harder deciding what to write on the cake

try one of these snappy phrases:

    1. "nice shoes"
    2. "this is for you"
    3. "good afternoon"
    4. "it's free"
    5. "hey buddy"

    [edited after much reflection]

    6. "cut here"
    7. "good luck"
    8. "omg"
    9. "submit"
    10. "welcome"

i usually go with "nooooo! don't eat me!" whatever the message, i agree that the personal touch of familiar handwriting is a nice one, even if you aren't making the cake. i realize that this doesn't answer your original question, but it is still a solid option.

Actually, I think that the bakery section at the Pathmark at Atlantic Center will personalize a cake for you. Of course, by the time you made it out of there, the occasion you were celebrating would have long since passed...

They actually have a good selection of cakes and they are very reasonably priced.

Naidre's Cafe on 7th Avenue between 11th and 12th streets! We make custom, homemade cakes and pies to order... not pre-made in bulk or out of a freezer!

Ladybird will personalize cakes for no additional cost. They even managed a "Happy Birthday Jeremy" on one of their small cakes. Did it in about 2 minutes. :)

I don't understand... you just need a Sharpie and a cake from the supermarket. Right?
