Subject: Enzo's Pizza

I've been a big fan of Enzo's since they opened up. I really enjoy their pizza until last night. I ordered a pie (pepperoni, mushrooms and black olives) Sunday night. Got home and opened the box and noticed that the pizza looked different (the toppings looked different). When I picked up the slice it had a different feel and thickness. Finally the pizza tasted different, mind you not bad, just not like the old pizza I enjoyed. I assume they've switched ingredients/recipe. I hope this was a one time thing, where their supplier had run out of the good ingredients. First time I was disappointed with Enzo's. Has anyone else noticed? Maybe Morgan Freeman will complain as well and they'll go back to their old pizza.

Subject: I agree something has changed

I was purchasing dough from them for quite a while to make pizza at home -- it was always pretty good, nice elasticity, good flavor etc. Lately I've had very inconsistent dough from them and have stopped buying. I guess I should just make it myself at home. Also, every time I go in there they seem to have a new guy behind the counter.

had the same situation as the OP but with a sausage/pasta dish. had it a few times then one day, bam, completely different look/presentation - and the guy has the gall to tell me that it has always been the same way.

The pizza is definitely different. We just picked up a plain pie. There is more cheese, but the cheese doesn't taiste as good to me, not as smoky. The sauce seems to be entirely different. Before it was more almost chopped tomatoes than sauce, now it is more saucy and again not as good tasting to me. The whole thing is bland, I've never had to put salt on a pizza before like this.
