Metro newspaper box near Connecticut Muffin

I need your help.

That Metro box in front of Connecticut Muffin has been empty for a month.

Never mind that it's completely in the wrong spot (should be by the subway), but if they're going to have a box there, then at least get someone to fill it.

I've tried calling them, but all I get are answering machines.

I simply say: Fill it, or remove it. And if you fill it again, then please see what you can do to place it closer to the subway entrance like every other news box in the city. Right now, it's just an unsightly container that jerks use as a trash bin.

Please help me in getting someone's attention over there about this:

I called two days ago. A guy in distribution, named Marcus, said he was going to look into it.

    His extension is x. 253.

UPDATE: As of 8:30 AM, on 12.4.09, it's still empty with the same amount of trash in it. In other words, no one has been by.

UPDATE 2: A phone call placed in to Metro yielded someone who was going to contact Marcus again who's out for the day at 3:50.

Evan said he'd look into it.

    UPDATE #4:

Box still filled with the same trash that was there 6 weeks ago.

Called Metro at 1:09, on 12.16. No answer in distribution or customer service. Must be lunch time.

Called 311. Through 311, the Dept. of Transportation will now be notified. Per 311, the DOT is responsible for these boxes, in terms of complaints, other issues.
The DOT will now address this, per 311, with Metro to see what's going on. If Metro is unable to fill the box with papers, the DOT will remove it.

This request will be processed within the next 60 days.

311's service request number is C1-1-530097630.
