seeking jewelry appraiser

I would appreciate referrals for good jewelry appraisers in Park Slope and Manhattan.

If this is for insurance I'd suggest contacting the insurance company and see what appraisals they require or recommend. Like does it need to be by a certified gemologist or something?

I used this appraiser a few years ago for an estate appraisal of jewelry. Everything was handled very professionally.
