edited November -1 in Prospect Heights
I currently live in the Slope but am looking to move to Prospect Heights around August 1 or September 1.

Looking for a Studio/ 1BR for around $900 - $1000 a month.

Will consider a roommate situation in a clean place, with a decent sized room and a good location.

I am a great tenent, full-time employed with good credit and references. Very sociable, but on the quiet side when I am home.

Any tips, please e-mail [email hidden]

I'm also 24, female non-smoker if you're interested in a roommate situation. No pets/no drugs/no boyfriend. No drama! Very laid back. Likes to cook and bake = goodies for you. Compulsive knitter, so you may even get a hat out of the deal.

Glad to hear that you are open to a roommate situation because there is no way you're going to find a studio/one bedroom for $900- $1,000 a month in Prospect Heights.

Yeah, I did see a studio on Vanderbilt advertised for $950 today, so I'm trying to stay hopeful. I've only been in NYC for a year and a half, so I guess I'm still in shock over rents. I make decent money, but I can't see paying half my net inome in rent. Another roommate share wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

There are a couple of places on Vanderbilt renting apts. One is above the Laundrymat b/t Park and Prospect Place, and the other is next to the Penas bodega b/t St. Mark's and Prospect Pl.
