Pediatrician

Hello

Just found out that my insurance (United Health Care) will not cover the Long Island College Hospital/Continuum Group and its doctor affiliates starting January 1st. We need to find a new pediatrician (replacing Doctor Turner).

Does anyone have a recommendation in our area?

We love Dr. Gabbur. He is a diamond in the rough. Don't be put off by his dingy office and a long wait - he is the doctor of old school when pediatricians actually talked to parents and cared about children and knew every child on the first-name basis. If I run into him on the street, he recalls my son's last ailment and asks how he is doing - and there is no computer around!
