Can someone explain the difference? One is the neighborhood and the other is the bank building? Did the neighborhood drop the h at one point? Thanks.

    according to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Williamsburg,_Brooklyn,

the H is part of the original name of the place (named in about 1802 for the guy who surveyed it), and it went away at the time that the city of williamsburgh became part of brooklyn (1855).

I'm not 100% sure, but i bet that the name of the bank had an H because it was first chartered in 1851, prior to the great brooklynization of billyburg.

Williamsburgh Library in Brooklyn's Williamsburgh neighborhood is spelled "Williamsburgh."
