I am. They've always seemed like a clean operation to me. Why were they closed?

The most recent inspection (the one that forced closure) doesn't seem to be online.

However, their lousy score on the prior inspection in lat Nov was lousy, and this made them subject to a followup compliance inspection. It seems like when DOH came back, they didn't like what they saw.

I ordered from there about a week ago and the rice smelled like it was...well, a week old (sour). I've given this place more than a few chances and always have regretted ordering. Can't we have at least ONE good chinese place in the hood?? And don't even mention S Delight or Hunan D.

DOH can tell you which ones are clean, but not which ones have good tasty food....

here's the results for PH. Note: it is points taken away! High number = bad health inspection.

type in your zip..... it's kinda fun.

oh yeah, a 50 on that score is not good. I saw a triple-digit one once but I think that is really rare (and yes, that place was closed down too)

Scezuan delight is the best Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood.

I got food poisoning from Mr Wonton about 6 weeks ago.

    Good riddance.

ETA: Looking around the DOH website I see that Two Boots managed to get the worst score in Park Slope! 84 points!

I'm sure pretty they'll re-open, that place seems to be too busy (especially with delivery business) to stay closed.

We always ordered from them - but last week we got our delivery and I could barely eat mine...just wasn't what it used to be.

And then I found a hair in my cold noodle. That's the end of that place for me, I'm afraid.

i just walked by and they look like they are doing a MAJOR clean up job. there is a pile of trash outside so big that it looks like they threw out everything in the place and are starting over.

i know it sounds crazy, but i bet that after these places are closed by the health department they are some of the cleanest in the city after they reopen. i mean, i'm pretty sure we don't want to know what MOST of nyc's restaurants look like behind the scenes.

they had a light on in there, and i've never seen mr. wonton look so clean. they are scouring that place like nobody's business.

i'll have to see how i feel about it when they reopen though, because i've always liked mr. wonton. I truly think it's one of, if not the best chinese place in the slope (i know that's not saying much). but i don't like szechuan delight as much and even red hot (which used to be good) isn't great anymore either.

mr. wonton, while not spectacular was always pretty solid.

i'm really disappointed to hear that the folks who run stone park are no longer considering opening up a chinese place in the old tempo place on 5th. or so i heard a while ago...
