Anyone know how much to install a new gas boiler?

We have no heat in our building, the boiler won't kick on, we are waiting for a plumber to show up who won't be here for 5 hours.

In the meantime, I am imagining worst case scenario that we will need a new boiler. Any idea how much that will run us?

Last year we paid National Grid $6500 for installation of new boiler.

if it comes down to it get a bunch of estimates..which won't be easy to do in a short amount of time if your boiler is fried. No fun to have no heat in this weather.Sloper.. I can just imagine you sitting there most of the day in heavy contemplation of this being just a quick fix and not requiring a new boiler at all.

Well, you were right Veets, but I am a glass half empty type of person, LOL! I always like to worry about the worst first!

Plumber is here now, turns out it was a push valve that went bad that turned the electrical supply to the boiler off and that is why we weren't getting any heat. It will cost $345 to repair! Thanks everyone!

Usually, unless you see water or steam coming from inside the casement/boiler, the cause is something mechanical which can easily be fixed.

We charge $2500 for a New Weil Mclain gas Boiler, including installation. 10 year Warranty.

We carry all sizes, and can usually install within the same day.

Some homes take larger boilers, but the $2500 is typical for a single family home.

Brownstones usually have large steam boilers, these are $3750 installed, including everything, even an automatic water feeder.

Be careful of people price goughing (sp?) in the winter.
