Salon on Washington -- anyone ever been?

Has anyone ever been to the newish-lookin' salon on Washington, on the same block as Grand Islands? It looks pretty clean and I was thinking about getting a pedicure there tomorrow.

Haven't been, but let us know what you think? Nothing is more busted than Long Nails on Flatbush.

nothing - I've gone there several times. but it's not exactly a charming example of cleanliness. I kinda have to force myself to not look at the floor or wonder about the antiseptic qualities of generic dish soap.

I tried that place Polish on 5th Ave - that gave me a pretty decent pedicure. But I would love to hear back about the place on Washington -

Oooh just got an idea - how about a DH day of beauty - maybe one Sat. - mani, pedi and mimmossas

I vote for D'Mai. It's realy in PS and more of a spa, but they give the nicest mani/pedis I've ever had.

FYI ladies (or particularly well-groomed men): I stopped by the salon today -- still haven't managed to catch the name of the place -- and they aren't doing pedicures yet. They're interviewing people to do them and said to come back in two weeks. The folks working there were fairly friendly and the place looked really clean.

After that I walked up and down Washington to see if there was any other place I could get a pedicure, because I really couldn't wait two weeks. Every place I checked looked na-haaasty. I ended up getting my tootsies attended to at one of the places on Flatbush because even though it's kind of grubby, I'd been there before, the people who work there seem nice, and they *seem* to sterilize their stuff. Let's hope I don't end up with plantar's warts or some other horrible ailment as a result.

Okay so I am thinking about a beauty day in like two- three weeks... anymore suggestions on a place...

go check it out ... if they don't have anyone yet, it's not a terrible walk to polish.

Yeah, I'm lazy. I figure they're probably offering pedicures by now but was sort of curious as to whether they're any good...

After discovering that said nameless place on Washington (begins with "I" I think) didn't have a manicurist yet (& it looks like it will be a small part of the biz) I went across the street up a block towards E.P. to a shop called "Lillian" & it was a little rough around the edges but I got to watch Oprah & got a good mani/pedi for $20 which is damn cheap.

The two places I have been to on Flatbush provide a similar cheap, but a little grungy experience, but are a trek for me....
