can you recommend someone to repair the front door on my building in the north slope?.. it keeps sticking, and everyone's tired of dealing with it. (i got a great recommendation here for someone to paint one of my rooms, so i'm hoping my luck'll continue.) thanks.

is the door wood or metal?

have you checked the hinges to make sure they just don't need tightening?
If the screws turn with no resistance, it's time for bigger screws.

Frequently, you can avoid shaving a door because 99% of the time they remain rectangular, but get loose at the hinges.

PM me if you need further help.

What whynot_31 says is the first thing to do. If you really don't want to deal with it there are plenty of handymen hovering around Brownstoner.

I recently had this man to our apartment to fix our sticky door. I found him to be reliable: came when he said he would; did what he was supposed to do.
