There's a Housing Works and Design Within Reach store over there and of course the promenade. Some ideas..

Mami, thanks but I think that Housing Works store closed a while ago. I hope not to have to engage the courts or other local gov any time soon, which is the only other thing I know about over there.

I sometimes trek into Williamsburg to go to Saltie, which has some incredible breakfast sandwiches.

While I'm not going to make a dedicated trip, I was compelled to make a poached egg sandwich this morning...

holy crap that sandwich is good.

$3 for iced coffee is a bit steep, especially given the size of the paper cup is was served in -- it was good, but not nearly as good as sit & wonder's.

but man, oh man, that sandwich. the most perfect egg i've had outside of my kitchen. and the ham.........

Thanks for reminding me of this thread, sweet tea. I still haven't tried that sandwich, but you've given me new motivation.

i am cheap as the dickens, and i have to admit that it was worth $5.



warning: it's really not very much ham. but what there is, is sensational.
