Across from the picnic house there is a hill used for sledding in the 70s and 80s. There was a bust on a pedestal. Payne. Anyone have photos?

I don't have one, but it's now in East Hampton:

    (from the NYTimes circa 2005)
An enormous bust of Payne that once commanded a corner of Prospect Park in Brooklyn was unceremoniously put into storage on Randalls Island by the New York City Parks Department. Three years ago, Mr. King cut a deal with the city and rescued the bust, which now dominates the front room of the Home, Sweet Home Museum.

Thank you. I have been in touch with Mr Hugh King of the Home Sweet Home Museum. But I am looking for its precise location when it was on Sullivan Hill.

"the elevated ground on the right of the Farm-House"
    (whatever that means)

Is there pirate treasure buried there?

No treasure. I am looking for visual confirmation that the Payne monument was aligned with the center of the Arch and the Tower of the Empire State building. It predates the Arch by 20 years and the Tower by 60.
