Saturday Sledding
anthonycm
Looks like snow for the weekend. Anyone mind sharing their favorite place to sled in Prospect Park? The steeper/faster the better.
Also, anyone know of a good place to buy sleds in PS? I have a good, metal saucer, but I'm in the market for an additional sled.
Thanks,
-anthony

staceyI couldn't direct you specifically but inside of 9th Street there are a few hills as well as over in the Nethermead.
Best hill for sledding is at the top of the hill by Squibb Park in Brooklyn Heights. We called this Dead Man's Hill. -
d_luxxSave on Fifth had a nice variety of plastic sleds/saucers/etc earlier in the season, don't know how much is left. -

So I was going to ask if that is a cat or a dog and then I saw the picture title in the image url that claims it's a dog. That's the kind of dog that my dog mistakes for a cat and wants to chase in a not so fun way. -
keithie^ does that mean Shep can't come over for BBQs? -
oldcrowdSo there is this hill on PPSW right above 11th ave, we called it Suicide Hill. There is a surprise bump in the middle and you go flying. Enter between 10th and 11 the Ave, make a right, walk up the hill, and then go down towards (11th ave). -
anthonycmThanks for all the advice on where to go for the sledding. If the snowfall happens, I'll likely keep it close to GAP, since that's close to the apartment.
Maybe I'll see some of y'all out there on Saturday, or at a bar after for refreshing post-sledding beverages. -

dominoBest hills in Bklyn: Deadman's Hill (Owls Head Park Bay Ridge), Killer Hill (next to the BQE down the road from the Watchtower) -

Watch out for my step kids. They're crazy on the slopes...

LOL I always reversed those two - called the Brooklyn Heights one Deadman's and Killer Hill was Bay Ridge. -
