I just broke my coffee maker and would like to replace it before I go away for the rest of the weekend. Does anyone know where I can get a French Press style coffee maker in the South Slope or Windsor Terrace ?
Thanks in advance

Java Joe's 8th Street and 7th Avenue might have one. Call before you go. . .

that sucks. I don't drink coffee, but I keep a small French press (and coffee) for guests.

I can't think of any place that sells them locally. I know Ikea has them and maybe Tarzian (the house ware store, not the hardware part).

also, I haven't been in there but since Laytner's has been described as a sort of Bed, Bath and Beyond store, maybe they have them

Laytner's has very, very, very few kitchen accessories such as above, they are 95% linens, furniture, blankets, sheets, shower curtains, etc. etc.

    I would try tarzian west

Thanks everybody. I rigged something out of a vase and the plunger from the old french press and am feeling like McGyver right now.

Clearly the neighborhood needs a baby-free/babies welcome, French Press store which also picks up dogshit. Somebody get to work on that.

Excellent! I don't drink coffee either, but you can always use panty hose as a filter I suppose. Cross-dressing McGyver? :P

If you still need one let me know. I have a small one that I never use that you could have. In South Slope here so PM if interested.

Nice going, MacGruber! Tarzian's home store also carries them, I believe. I am positive though that Java Joes has them. I love my french press :)

Starbucks would definitely have them, too.

Actually, it was really un-excellent and pretty disgusting. I'm grateful that I won't have to do that again because of Turtle's generosity. Thanks Turtle !

my pleasure...that thing was taking up valuable storage space that I could use for something more useful for me, like bourbon!
