A new wine and liquor store. Maybe we can get some decent wine soon. And a full service clinic.

great news for nostrand! in the meantime, i highly recommend the wine & liquor store on franklin and prospect. i know it doesn't look like much from the outside, but they actually have a great selection, particularly of south american wines.

This liquor store is owned by a long-time Nostrand business owner. They've got a store currently on Nostrand and President and are expanding with a new shop. Really nice people, and again, its great to see folks who were here during the rough years continuing to invest in the neighborhood.

or, to put it another way: It's always nice to see local, long time owners who are now benefiting from gentrification, by successfully adapting to their changing neighborhood.

...ah, capitalism. Where the sucker is rightfully blamed for spending their money on highly marketed crap, and those selling the goods to them are considered to be geniuses.
