Saw signs up all over today about her, didn't realize she had been missing for 2 weeks!! I don't understand why there weren't signs up earlier!

Hope they find her, but after reading that article and the fact that her computers and journals are gone, I have a bad, bad feeling.

It seems that even though the BF was very forthcoming at first, he lawyered up when they wanted to give him a poly. He had a scratch on his face. I think he did it.

Nah, that's not it....it was more the scratch on his face than the lawyer, FWIW...and it just smells funny to me. If you read the article, she also had a huge fight with him beforehand that she told people about.

Ya know, I don't mean to totally condemn the guy before he's even convicted, but its pretty common when women disappear, the BF, husband, lover is almost always responsible. So I guess I'm making a judgment based on that knowledge and what I read in the article. Always another side, I'm sure....but this one seems fishy.

I don't know anything about this case, but if the NYPD asked me to take a poly--whether or not I was innocent, I would get a lawyer. That's a pretty serious step by the NYPD, it would make sense to respond in kind.

I completely agree and would do the same- especially since there's so much documentation that they often result in false positives. Very true. Strange though, her laptops were missing, as well as her journals, yet her wallet was there when they searched her apt.

Something to think about as well: often times when the cops are trying to nail someone, they will either put in a false clue or leave out an important clue in the press. There's just no way to know....

if decades of Law & Order has taught me anything it's that people don't just get randomly murdered, the boyfriend usually did it, and McCoy better watch himself.

Hmmm, maybe the laptops and journals were missing not because she took them and ran away, but because the murderer knew they would contain clues, emails, etc that would lead the police to him.

How would they know that journals were missing? Who would know that other than the missing woman?

She is separated form her husband, and I am assuming that he knows that she keeps a journal. Just a guess on my part of course

My friends and I saw fliers posted all over in the Slope.
Those detectives should be all over this and sooner or later, I hope that they will be able to find out more leads.

The plot thickens... Apparently, according to OTBKN, she gave her dogs away to her ex husband days before she disappeared. I'm beginning to think more and more the boyfriend had little to do with what happened.

someone who lived near her told me this last week and I didnt want to say anything... they personally think she ran off

maybe he was one of those....leave me and i kill you types so she left out of dodge.usually it is someone known to the victim. i just hope she is alright but i would think she would at least contact her family so they dont worry.

This woman has family and friends who are probably frantic with worry about her. They could be Googling her name looking for leads and/or even reading this site. Speculating about her life, "who did it" etc. isn't really cool.

Sure it's an intriguing story, but spend a second thinking about somebody else and how horrible it would be if this was somebody you knew and please show a tiny bit of restraint. This isn't the same level of crap we normally banter about on this site.

Anybody with real information should call the police.

I'm hopeful there is a good outcome here.

There are always so many elements to these missing person cases.

People do love discussing cases though all over the web. The post article alone, is terribly slanted in the direction of a violent crime. The media can be such ghouls.

My best friend, had an aunt murdered with a box cutter. Her baby was standing in his crib and saw all of this.
My friend did google for information about the crime, and found a blog with graphic crime scene photographs of her aunt lying in a pool of blood in the corridor of the hotel, where she had managed to stumble out for help. She sent them to me, so heartbroken. I was kind of shocked...that these pictures had been accessible... Her loved one, dead for all to see.
She also got to see comments by the family of the two girls accused of the crime, demeaning her aunt. However there was also an outpouring of love and support from friends and strangers.

The internet truly is a blessing and curse too.

Good thoughts and prayers for her..and her family...

^babynamib - that's a horrible thing to find online.

I think support is great.....but online detectives blaming boyfriends, etc = not helpful and may be downright slanderous and unproductive
