Hit Run @ Flatbush Avenue and Prospect Place

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Cops were searching for the hit-and-run driver wanted for mowing down two women Sunday morning in Brooklyn.

A 22-year-old woman was left in critical condition with head injuries. The other, 23, was hospitalized in stable condition.

Both were taken to Kings County Hospital.

The women were walking in a crosswalk on Flatbush Avenue and Prospect Place in the Prospect Heights section when they were both sent flying by a dark green Acura, witnesses said.

The car left the scene but was recovered a few blocks away with a badly damaged windshield, police said. Officers tracked it back to an address in the Bronx but the driver was still at large.
