Swap London for Brooklyn

Hello,

I'm a former Brooklynite, currently living in London, and I'm coming to New York with my boyfriend at the end of June/early July for a week. I'm looking for a flat swap for the duration or just part of our stay in Park Slope.

I have a cute, 1BR in south London (Brixton, zone 2). Close to the tube, buses, etc. and loads of local amenities (Tesco, M&S, local market, farmers' market). Brixton is known for its nightlife and has a good selection of pubs and nightclubs all within walking distance!

The flat is 12 minutes into central London so you are very close to all the sights. Happy to provide any local tips.

Non-simultaneous may be ok too! [email hidden]

For those not from the UK, you may want to explain what M&S (Marks & Sparks and Tesco is :D )

Good luck with the search but Park Slope and Brixton are hardly like for like!

That's a fair point. Maybe Park Slope back in the 60s! But Brixton isn't quite that bad. Really!

I love Brixton! And who doesn't love that song ^^^, which is closer to the last time I was there...

Former (and perhaps current) highlights: the Ritzy cinema (playing same stuff as BAM at the moment) and the Brixton Academy music hall. The daily outdoor grocery stalls are fantastic.

Is Brixton Crown Heights? What neighborhood are you suggesting is PS?

    Primrose Hill or Islington probably

And shame on the OP for saying they're a former Brooklynite then calling their London apt a flat (just bustin your balls). :P

Forget the Olympics. Can we trade Marty Markowitz for Lord Mayor?

True, but if so, maybe they should not call themselves a former Brooklynite? Not that it really matters, I was really just teasing.
