Traffic on Gowanus/BQE in the AM?

I have an 8 am flight at LGA on Monday. Just wondering what time I should leave for the airport from Windsor Terrace? What time does the Gowanus/BQE start to get backed up big time at the Battery Tunnel for rush hour? To get to the airport at around 7am, does leaving at 6:15am sound feasible?

I would NOT start on the BQE from there. Head down 4th Ave, left on Flatbush, right on Tillary and pick up the BQE from there. You will save yourself a world of hurt.

Assuming you're taking cars service, leave earlier. You have to factor in potential traffic problems and you need to arrive at least an hour prior to departure. Save the stress and start out sooner in the am. Flexi is 100% correct on avoiding the tunnel area.
