Break-ins on Underhill last night

Two Jettas (at least) broken into on Underhill between Sterling and Park.

Weird. Remember when this was a common occurrence in the neighborhood? Like, maybe 3 years ago?

Also weird that nothing of value was stolen from either car.

Not as weird as you think... they stole my radio from my Jetta over by the courthouses ... and then another time they stole the VW symbol from the front of my Jetta when I was over in BedStuy...

I'm reminded of those awesome new VW "time to unpimp ze auto" commercials where the labcoated german engineer flashes a VW hand sign.

Man, that sucks. I talked to a dude today who had an attempted burglary of his Mercedes attempted last night. The thief tried to break his window but the tint prevented it from shattering. It was on Sterling betw. Flatbush and Vandy. I've actually been a little more worried than usual about my car lately. Just an uneasy feeling. On another note, I have to admit that in high school (late '80s) my buddy and I used to boost VW and Ford emblems to fashion two and three-finger rings out of. Maybe that's why my car was broken into the first day I bought it...
