Vespa Washed Up by Fairway

My friend and I saw a navy blue Vespa washed up at the end of Van Brunt near Fairway yesterday evening (Sun., March 21). I figure it was the result of some great drama: a love triangle...a jealous ex...very bad driving...

I am curious to know the story behind this floating tragedy and whether someone fished it out and made it purr. If you have any information, please share!

It is interesting to note that Vespas float.

is it still there? A stranger fishing it out would be useless, because:

1. Scooters are titled, meaning you can't "own it" just because you found it.

2. The thing is gonna need some work. It's electrical system is going to be shot.

Salt water and almost anything related to making the thing go don't mix... It ain't coming back to life.
