bars with outdoor smoking ?

Every time I post with an inquiry like this, I get many great suggestions so I thought I'd try it again.
I'm meeting a friend for drinks this Thursday, and we would like to sit outside so she can smoke freely while drinking. Any suggestions for bars with ample outdoor seating and a full bar (shes not a beer drinker) where smokers are welcome ? I am in the extreme South Slope and would like options near my place.
Thanks in advance

Quarter and South definitely have smoking patios and maybe the outside of Toby's.

I second Quarter and South. Both have backyards and are two different vibes depending on what you are looking for. Quarter has tasty cocktails, a small not so impressive beer selection, and a very cute patio. South has great prices, a full bar and an extensive beer list, and a pretty bare-bones yard but the new picnic tables are fine.

Thanks for the tips - I hadn't known all those places had patios ! Very helpful and I think we'll end up at South.

The Gate isn't in South Slope and a sidewalk table in the vicinity of babies does not constitute a "free smoking environment" in my opinion, so I don't think we'll make it up there.

I am all for kids and dogs in bars. That said, if you bring your kid to the bar you have to know what you're walking in to. Smokers on the patio have far more right to be there than kids. If the parents are uncomfortable they can bring the ankle biter inside or go to Chucky Cheese.

Well, I think the baby topic has become exhausted on other threads, but anyway the point is moot because The Gate is inconveniently located for me (was specifically looking for South Slope), and I don't really love it anyway. And yes, one of the many things I dislike about that place is that there are often babies (with their poorly behaving parents) and I prefer my bars "adults only".

I now have a nice list of many options closer to my place that are preferable to me. Thanks for all the suggestions, guys !

I thought smoking was banned even on outside patios. Maybe these places just look the other way?
