new to town / meet new folks

Hi, I'm fairly new to north slope (and NY), and haven't met too many new friends yet. I heard about this message board, and was wondering if there were any musicians on here that are interested in jamming out to some tunes once in a while. I'm into a lot of new music (surfer blood, dirty proj., etc ), but still play loads of dead tunes and pretty much everything in between.

If you're into the music scene, then getting out there and watching the shows is a good way to meet fellow kindred spirits. Southpaw, Union Hall, Freddy's, Hanks, Bell House... great social environment to meet people.
