new trees in the hood

is it just me or does it seem like there's been a TON of new trees planted in our hood over the past 2 years? i remember a bunch going in last year and even more over this past winter.

now that spring is rolling around, the trees from last year are really starting to kick ass. it's awesome!

maybe it's just 23rd st., but i'm into it. go trees!

Their have been lots on 23rd St. due to community efforts and working w/ Con Edison. Also the "I love my NYC block" program's survey for this summer may have helped as well.
