Garden Tiller - Garden Claw!

I am looking for a garden tiller. One of those things with the prongs on the end that you push into the ground and then twist. I have less than 300 square feet that need to be tilled. We have already covered all the hardware stores in the area and they are not selling any... Hoping NOT to have to go to Case dePot next week-end!

Anyone have one that they would like to get rid of? Or let me use for an afternoon?

Thank you all for your ideas! But now I can 'verbalize' what I want! A Garden Claw! Has anyone seen one for sale locally? It is hard for me to get things delivered to my building!

There's a place on Coney Island Avenue where we rented one two years ago for, I think, about $50. I'll see if I can find the name of the place. They're VERY heavy for such small machines, and a little unwieldy to use. Once you're done, though, you really feel like you've accomplished something. And our sod took, too.

I found it. Miller's Tools on Coney Island Avenue between Albemarle and Beverley. I remember they close early -- about 4:30 -- during the week, and noon on Saturday, I think. Give 'em a call.

Dunno. The one we rented was pretty serious. Heavy and loud. But it certainly worked! We have one of those 131-foot lots, so we needed something big. If you can use the smaller one, it would be more manageable.

    Thanks all!

We found a Garden Claw at Sid's in Metrotech. It did a lovely job.
