scoopz coming to 5th avenue

walked by and saw a new place about to open on 5th avenue just north of lincoln place called scoopz.

workmen said ice cream, which isn't shocking.

never heard of it though.

seems like there's enough ice cream/frozen yogurt in this area already....oko on the same block, uncle louie g's around the corner, lucas fine foods is serving amazing ample hill's creamery ice cream, chocolate room has ice cream.

other than Uncle Louie G's, none have a strong selection of flavors, though. you also left out Trois Pommes, which probably has the best selection of them all.

an artisan ice cream shop, with a strong selection, would do very well, I think. i don't know if artisan ice shop owners wind up naming their establishments "Scoopz," though.

yeah, i was hoping for a blue marble ice cream shop myself.

best ice cream i've ever had.
