if you have properly mounted ceiling box, it is easy.

Properly mounted: secured to a stud

Make sure your back is in good shape and you have a friend around to spot you...Lots of lifting things at awkward angles over your head...

Sorry: wasn't specific enough. Can you recommend someone to install it?

Yes, you can do this as whynot_31 says. The box needs to be in a stud to hold the weight. If you are unsure get a licensed electrician. Sorry I don't have a name for you.

to close the circle: i wound-up starting to install the fan but got spooked about halfway thru, and called an electrician who accomplished in 30-mins what it would've taken me all day to do. also, 20-yrs of not having to worry about the fan crasshing-down on me was, i think, worth 125-bucks.

Who was the electrician, and how did you find him? Were you pleased with his work?
