Google now all binged out

And now I have the sudden craving for an everlasting gobstopper .

Fucking thing sucks.

It goes against everything that made them elegant and useful, and inexplicably copies M$'s Bing (hence the "binged" thread title).

I've also heard reports that it pulls images from picasa accounts, if they also have a picasa account with photos and are currently logged in.

(Watch out, compromising Vegas photos comin' right up!)

This should have been the April 1 Google.com .

Up next: Flash or java applet interface.

Or some crazy-ass full screen video background in H.264 via HTML5 while you're trying to conduct a search.

Mine loaded as the same plain white page, and I'm logged into a google account with picasa right now... Yours are pulling random images?

To be honest I almost never see the actual home page, I just search from the firefox search box...

It looks like as of this afternoon Google has turned the images back off as the default.

Apparently they defaulted on as a promotion to highlight this new 'feature'.

Yeah, many folks (including myself) just use the search box in the browser.
