Ellis space

I heard that Freddy's Bar (the one displaced by Atlantic Yards) will be taking the old Ellis spot. Anyone else heard this?

Also, I heard something about a restaurant - possibly a steakhouse? - going into the empty Aaron's clothing store.

Both sound like good additions to the 'hood.

I was at Korzo last week and met the son of the owner of Freddy's (I forgot the owner's name - it's not Freddy - maybe Frank?). He said they were looking for space in the area to re-start Freddy's. He didn't seem to want to share specifics, but that's the area I was in, so it's quite possible.

At around March Freddy's contact me to rent them ginger's bar. However, I decided to renew gingers lease...even though i could have been getting much more rent from Freddy's.

The owner of South mentioned something about an italian restaurant, but not sure it was actual info or wishful speculation.
