Am-Thai Chili Basil Kitchen

The Village Voice's "Fork in the Road" blog rated Am-Thai Chili Basil Kitchen's Mock Duck Spicy Bamboo as the fifth best vegetarian dish in New York City.

i really like that place! the eggplant is awesome and they offer up a banana spring roll with the lunch special. i believe the same family owns a thai place in les manhattan with the same menu but a little more expensive for each dish. almost no seating, though last time i was there they seemed to add a little table or two outside. i usually just go to the playground half a block away.

it also isn't far from klein's (vegan ice cream!)
