IPL Photofacial--ever had one?

So I'm thinking about one of those IPL (intense pulsed light) photo-facials. Has anyone here had this? Do they work? Are there risks I should know about? I only know they are meant to rejuvenate the skin.

ok, it was good, fantastic results on pigmentation and general skin tone and elasticity. It seems expensive (300 bucks a pop), but when I compare to face creams that don't do anything, doing this once every six months or so is so worth it....Doesn't hurt a bit, but it does 'burn' a bit immediately after, tho.

Where did you go for this procedure? I think they are charging $500. in Manhattan. Do you have a local place? Thanks in advance.

I got rid of rosacea [ redness] with 4 photofacials at Tres Belle Spa on Bond Street in Boerum Hill. I think it was $300-ish. They're really good with skin issues.
