I know TWC is in the majority of the areas on this board, and it looks like they want you to know whats going on.

    This is because sports juggernaut ESPN networks are up next (for the whole turn-off negotiations blamegame PR war).

    And given the Scripps (HGTV, Food Network etc.) and Fox battles thus far, they are girding for the long haul of everyone filing in to negotiate better terms after the battle for/with ESPN.

    I dropped my TW service last winter and now survive on netflix & amazon-on-demand via a roku box, and a little bit of over-the-air HD. I'm 99% happy with the switch. Time-Warner can kiss my ass.

    If the internet broadcast all the sports I watch, I would have ditched a tv provider years ago.

    That is a big drawback. I thought I might sign up for the MLBtv stuff via roku and then realized the implications of the blackout restrictions. Oh Well. It makes no sense to me...ESPN supposedly charges cable companies something like $4 per month per subscriber for their content, I would be happy to pay three times that as an ala carte subscriber. But no, can't have that.
