Need moving labor
nojojojo
I'm going to be moving from one apartment to another within my apartment complex in Prospect Heights -- basically to a building around the corner, or possibly even just within the same building. (Haven't picked an apartment yet.) Can anybody recommend some "men with a van"-type laborers? Who can be called on short notice, and are affordable? (Sorry if this has been asked before -- I saw an old thread recommending grabbing some guys who hang out near U-Haul locations, but that sounds kinda skeevy to me.)

whynot_31My man with van is Carlos.
I've used him about 6 times in the last 4 years. He is always reliable.
Charges about $40 an hour in the NYC area fro driving and hauling stuff.

....the problem is that it is just him. He doesn't seem to have any buddies, so you need to be the one carrying the other end of the couch.
