Dog friendly restaurants

Can anyone recommend a restaurant for tonight? We are looking to bring our new dog, so need to be able to sit outside with him. Something center slope would be good so we don't have to carry him a long way!

Thanks!

if they serve food, they are not supposed to allow dogs even in the outside area.

    ....bars without food are different.

agreed. maybe try a place like The Gate where you get your drinks there but you get take out from wherever you want to eat a the table with your dog.

I recommend you consider that other patrons in the restaurant might be disturbed by a puppy, especially if it barks, whines, begs or tries to run around. Also, please consider that the restaurant could get in trouble with the board of health. I love animals, but also think there is a time and place for everything.

A good alternative might be to get some tasty takeout, and have a picnic in prospect park.

I've seen dogs at Steinhoff -outside eating area, just leashed onto the outside of the patio gate. But call ahead just in case.

Look for places with front patio seating that way the dog is outside on the sidewalk and not technically inside the eatery.

The Gate bar idea is fun, they love pets and you can bring in some food from a local take out:Lotus for Banh Mi, Chip Shop for fish and chips or Shepard's pie, sushi at many places on 5th, or Song for thai ....

We've brought our dog and sat outside with her tied on the outside of the fence at Johnny Mack's, 12th street and 8th avenue, and Bar Toto 11th street and 6th avenue. Both provide water for your dog.

like above, magnolia allows dogs just outside it's fence and also provides water.
