Missing hubcap/wheel covers?

One of my cheap plasctic hubcap/wheel covers is missing, and I have noticed that many other cars on my street have the same problem. Is there something to this? I doubt one plastic hubcap thing is worth the effort of stealing/selling.

Crackheads are stealing all sorts of dumb stuff.

I bet it just popped off. The are very bumby around these parts... I lost 3 out of 4 on my old car, but I only witnessed 1 of them rolling away in my side mirror.

If its one thats missing, it probably fell off while driving,if its all four you may be on to something.

Funny, I noticed the exact same thing. One of my hubcaps went missing. I assumed it fell off at some point while I was driving, but since then I've noticed probably a dozen cars around my neighborhood with the same thing, just one hubcap missing! I also noticed that a lot of them were Toyotas, as is mine.

I'm not sure if maybe it's some kinda prank, or some weirdo artist is collecting hubcaps to make a weird hubcap statue... no idea.

I don't think it's a coincidence though, cus as I said, i've seen a lot of cars with just one missing.

When I was in college, a friend used to steal those plastic hubcap covers from other cars in our parking garage whenever his fell off. Eventually he and this other guy would just steal them back and forth from one another for months.

there is no market for the cheap plastic hubcaps... if they stole your set of factory ones you can check any flat fix and find em....
I take an electric pencil ( dremel) and engrave my plate number on the back of the hubcap so i can identify them
