Shooting on St. Marks Tues Aug 10

I heard 5 very loud shots in front of my building around 7:30 tonight. This was between Washington and Grand. Lots of police and an ambulance which I believe took someone away, but not sure. My wife said they caught the guy. Anyone have any more info on this?

Yes they arrived on the scene in minutes. At least that makes me feel someone safe here.

any new info? was it random, drug/gang-related? what's the word on the street, not too happy as this is a couple blocks away from our apt, wasn't this the same corner where that kid got stabbed not too long ago?

I wonder if this is related to a huge cop presence at Park Place and Nostrand complete with circling chopper about 4:30 pm yesterday...

Nope...That was a perp who ran from a stolen car which was involved in another shooting.

Lets see a drive-by on St. Johns, heard it was a gray SUV. Guy shot in the leg a day or two later, same SUV, same street. Probably related to this one. If these assholes weren't such bad shots, I'd say let them kill each other. There is no rehabilitation in the correctional system, none. Snatch the gangs up and throw them in an arena and make them fight to death. Put it on pay-per-view.
