Mod Note: Merged duplicate post, but did leave a shadow post in the PS board for you.

Non-Mod note: what type of red chilis? Dried? Long or short? Thai chilis or mexican? If you are looking for some nice and hot peppers Sunset park anywhere on 5th ave in the 40s/50s has little grocery stores with peppers and even heirloom tomatillos.

EDIT TO ADD: Fairway might have some too. In general I only see the green ones too, except for habaneros (key foods).

Evolutionary Organics at green market on Saturday has a ton of chili peppers, all different varieties.

I believe that large veggie market on 3rd Ave around 29th Street has 'em all the time.

    Are you talking about rossman's?

They have amazingly cheap produce, I bought lots of different chili peppers there. It's just crazy good! too bad I'm too lazy to head over there on the train often.

That's the one. Why take a train? It's close enough for a nice walk, bike-ride or the 3rd Ave. bus with transfers. Then again, you're talking to someone who's too lazy to reach for the remote when laying down on the couch.

It's kinda like my trips to Trader Joe's I always end up with more then I can possibly carry.

Mr Horse2, where are you finding green chiles and what kind? I've been on the hunt for Sandia Green Chiles (Anaheims) for 4+ years now with no luck. I just gave up last week and ordered a 1/2 bushel from a place in New Mexico. So when you all smell that delicious roasting smell next week, you'll know where it's coming from ;)

Just got a half bushel of these in from Hatch, NM today. You might have smelled it tonight if you live around 5th St . . .

The coop has fresh red chili peppers along with a bunch of other hot peppers right now.
